Welcome
The Lookout Education Centre provides education for young people who are inpatients in the Adolescent Unit at Hopewood, a 32-bed psychiatric unit for young people aged 12 – 18 years old experiencing mental health difficulties.
Young people are supported to continue their education, and we work closely with their home school and/or college to make transition back smoother.

THE LOOKOUT EDUCATION CENTRE
The main entrance to the Lookout Education Centre Hopewood Centre is situated on Mansfield Road (A60), opposite the Woodthorpe Hospital. Parking is limited at the centre but there is parking available on Egerton Road and Albermarle Road.

HHELC is now closed for the summer holiday. Please note all HHELC mailboxes will not be monitored during this time. Therefore, SARs/Data requests will be picked up from when we return on Monday 1st September, 2025.
When we return in September, we will no longer be a Nottingham City Council provision. Our new identity will be Nottingham HOPE Academy.
